pathway to homeownership

Building Stability. Creating Generational Wealth. Opening Doors.

At RGW Foundation, we believe every family deserves the chance to achieve the dream of owning a home. Too often, people don’t even try to see if they qualify because of past financial challenges, credit concerns, or simply not knowing where to begin. Our Pathway to Homeownership program was created to change that.

What We Do

The Pathway to Homeownership provides education, tools, and support to help individuals and families move from uncertainty to confidence in the homebuying process. Through group workshops, one-on-one coaching, and community partnerships, we guide participants step by step toward mortgage readiness.

Our program includes:

  • Financial Education – Learn the basics of credit, budgeting, and saving.
  • Mortgage Readiness Coaching – Understand what lenders look for and create a personalized action plan.
  • Resource Navigation – Get connected to down payment assistance programs, trusted mortgage brokers, and realtors.
  • Supportive Community – Join a network of peers who are on the same journey toward stability and wealth-building.

Why It Matters

Owning a home is more than a financial milestone—it’s a foundation for stability, security, and legacy. By helping families break down barriers to homeownership, we are also strengthening communities and building pathways to generational wealth.

Who We Serve

  • DFCS-Connected Families: For parents working toward reunification or stability, homeownership can be a key step in demonstrating security and long-term planning.
  • Community Members: Anyone who feels homeownership is out of reach but wants to explore the possibility and build a plan to get there.

How It Works

  1. Enroll in the Pathway to Homeownership program.
  2. Learn & Plan through workshops and one-on-one sessions.
  3. Take Action with a clear mortgage readiness plan.
  4. Connect with mortgage brokers, realtors, and financial resources.
  5. Celebrate your progress toward becoming a homeowner.
