About Relational Life Therapy (RLT)
Developed by master therapist Terry Real, MSW, Relational Life Therapy challenges traditional models of therapy by blending truth, compassion, and accountability. RLT equips individuals and couples with the tools to create relationships grounded in respect, equality, and emotional honesty.
At its core, RLT teaches how to live relationally—in partnership with yourself and with others—so that you can move beyond cycles of disconnection and step into a life of deeper intimacy and purpose.
What to expect:
Six hours that can change how you love—for life.
This 1-day live virtual event combines teaching, real-life demonstrations, and guided exercises to help you integrate RLT skills into your daily life. You’ll gain insights, tools, and a renewed sense of empowerment to transform the way you relate to yourself and others.
This event is offered through RGW Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to making transformative mental-health and relationship education accessible to all communities. Proceeds directly support the Foundation’s ongoing work to provide low-cost and scholarship-based counseling, workshops, and wellness programming.

An immersive relationship intensive for BIPOC couples ready to do the work of healing, reconnection, and growth.
RGW Foundation is proud to partner with the Relational Life Foundation to co-lead Building Relational Bridges, a powerful initiative designed specifically for couples of color seeking deeper connection, healing, and relational empowerment.
Through this unique collaboration, we bring a culturally grounded, trauma-informed lens to the Relational Life Therapy (RLT) framework, creating safe and sacred spaces where Black couples can thrive—not just survive.
Together, we are committed to helping couples:
Led by Stacee and Ya’Ron Brown, licensed therapists and certified RLT facilitators, this program blends clinical insight, relational wisdom, and lived experience. Our work centers the realities and strengths of Black love, offering more than surface-level strategies—it offers transformation.
Whether you're navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, or simply yearning to grow together, Building Relational Bridges offers a path forward—rooted in truth, connection, and liberation.
What it is:
Building Relational Bridges is a weekend couples intensive grounded in the Relational Life Therapy model, tailored specifically for BIPOC couples. This small-group, in-person experience combines powerful dialogue, skills-based coaching, and restorative connection in a space curated for safety, healing, and growth.
What to expect:
This program is offered on a sliding scale, with full and partial scholarships available to eligible couples thanks to our partnership with the Relational Life Foundation. We believe healing should be accessible—not a luxury.
Spots are limited to preserve intimacy and impact. If you and your partner are ready to break cycles, build trust, and reclaim joy—we’d love to welcome you.
Q1: Who can participate in the Building Relational Bridges program?
A: The program is open to Black and Pan-African couples of all ages and stages of relationship—dating, married, or long-term partners.
Q2: What makes this program different from other couples therapy?
A: Unlike generic couples therapy, this program is culturally responsive, community-centered, and grounded in Relational Life Therapy, designed with the unique experiences of BIPOC couples in mind.
Q3: Is this program only for couples experiencing problems?
A: No. Many couples join to strengthen their bond, learn tools for better communication, or heal from past trauma together - even if they aren’t currently in conflict.
Q4: Can I join if I’m single or in a situationship?
A: While the focus is on couples, you can still join to prepare for healthy, conscious love.
